The estate is small and deliberately hands-on, with a focus on careful vineyard management and minimal intervention in the cellar.
Fruit for the Ghost Gum Cabernet Sauvignon is selected from specific vineyard blocks and handled with a light touch to preserve site expression. Oak maturation is used to frame the wine rather than dominate it, resulting in a style that leans towards balance and drinkability while still reflecting classic Cabernet structure. It’s a thoughtful interpretation of Franschhoek Cabernet - more restrained than powerful, with clarity over weight.

Deep ruby with a youthful garnet edge, showing good density without being opaque.
Nose:
Blackcurrant and dark plum lead, followed by cedarwood, graphite and a gentle herbal note. Subtle oak spice and a hint of dried tobacco leaf add complexity as it opens.
Palate:
Medium- to full-bodied with a firm but approachable tannin structure. The fruit sits in the dark spectrum - cassis, black cherry - supported by fresh acidity that keeps the wine lifted. Oak is present but integrated, adding texture rather than sweetness.
