Nestled in the Robertson Valley, Springfield Estate is a family-owned winery run by the Bruwer family, descendants of French Huguenot settlers who have farmed the region for generations. Robertson's limestone-rich soils and significant day-to-night temperature variation provide ideal conditions for producing grapes with the freshness and acidity required for quality sparkling wine.
Produced according to the traditional method, Springfield Garuzis Brut undergoes secondary fermentation in bottle, allowing the wine to develop fine bubbles and added complexity. True to Springfield's "Made on Honour" philosophy, the wine is crafted with minimal intervention, focusing on purity, balance and drinkability. Named after a family ancestor, Garuzis reflects both the estate's heritage and its commitment to producing wines that are authentic expressions of place.

Pale gold with brilliant clarity and a fine, persistent mousse.
Nose:
Delicate aromas of green apple, lemon zest and pear are complemented by hints of white flowers, freshly baked bread and subtle biscuit notes developed during bottle maturation.
Palate:
Crisp and refreshing, with flavours of citrus, green apple and stone fruit supported by lively acidity and fine bubbles. The Chardonnay contributes elegance and freshness, while Pinot Noir adds texture and depth. A gentle creaminess on the mid-palate balances the wine's vibrant character.
