Raka Cabernet Franc 2021
Cabernet Franc
Description
The Dreyer family are the proprietors of Raka Wines situated near Stanford in a glen in the Klein Rivier Mountains, where the Klein River flows through. The wine was named after Raka, the beloved fishing boat of Piet Dreyer. The Raka Cabernet Franc 2021 is bottled in limited quantities and only when considered superior quality. With these single varietals the farm uses a small volume of the best barrels that go into producing their blends. This exceptional red wine displays well integrated oak, with sweet and sour cherries and berries. Upfront, the nose has lovely fresh red berries, followed by worn leather, milk chocolate and cloves. Tight acidity and beautifully fine tannins on the palate with juicy black cherry.
