Rainbow’s End Wine Estate is a small, family-owned farm situated high on the slopes above the Banghoek Valley in Stellenbosch. The estate lies at elevations of up to around 540 metres, backed by the Jonkershoek Mountains and overlooking one of the most scenic vineyard sites in the region. The altitude and mountain amphitheater create cooler evenings and steady ripening conditions that help preserve freshness while allowing red varieties to develop concentration.
Owned and managed by the Malan family, Rainbow’s End focuses almost exclusively on red wines produced in limited quantities. Vineyards are carefully managed with low yields and hands-on vineyard work to ensure intensity of flavour. Grapes are hand-harvested and vinified on the estate, with the wines matured in French oak barrels to add structure and subtle complexity. The aim is to craft wines that reflect the power of Stellenbosch fruit while retaining balance and elegance.

Nose:
Aromas of ripe plum, blueberry and mulberry lead the bouquet, followed by subtle hints of spice and gentle oak influence.
Palate:
Full-bodied with a velvety texture. Flavours of berry compote, mulberries and ripe plums unfold across the palate, supported by rounded tannins that frame the fruit without dominating it.
Finish:
Smooth and persistent, with lingering dark fruit and a soft, savoury oak note.
