Protea wines are produced under the umbrella of Anthonij Rupert Wine Estate, a longstanding Franschhoek-area producer with roots dating back to the 17th century. The Protea range is named for South Africa’s national flower and reflects a commitment to approachable, food-friendly wines that speak to the Cape’s diversity of coastal and inland vineyard sites. The Protea Rosé 2025 is crafted from a harmonious blend of red varietals - including Cinsault, Mourvèdre, Grenache and others - picked for fresh, bright fruit and fermented cool in stainless steel. Lees contact for a few months adds subtle texture without compromising the wine’s vivacity.
