Nuiba Wines is the personal label of winemaker Suzanne Coetzee, whose philosophy centres on preserving the natural character of the grapes and allowing site expression to lead the style. The brand takes its name from a family farm in Namibia, a place that inspired the authenticity and grounded identity behind the wines.

Nuiba sources fruit from Piekenierskloof, a distinctive high-altitude growing area known for old bush vines, dryland farming and concentrated berries with expressive flavour. These tougher growing conditions often result in naturally lower yields and wines with intensity and freshness. Nuiba Fifth Post Chenin Blanc 2025 reflects this sense of place, combining ripe Cape fruit with thoughtful cellar work for a Chardonnay-like texture while remaining true to Chenin Blanc’s lively personality.

Colour:
Bright straw gold with youthful clarity and a light green edge.

Nose:
Aromatic layers of pineapple, guava and ripe pear lead the nose, followed by hints of vanilla, toasted almond and soft blossom notes.

Palate:
Medium-bodied and rounded, showing tropical fruit, yellow apple and citrus flavours balanced by fresh acidity. A subtle oak component adds texture and breadth without overwhelming the fruit.

Finish:
Smooth and persistent, finishing with gentle spice, almond and lingering stone-fruit freshness.
