Mirari Gin is produced by Time Anchor Distillery, a boutique craft distillery located in the vibrant Maboneng precinct in Johannesburg. The distillery was one of the first craft operations to open in the city and focuses on small-batch spirits built around distinctive botanicals and contemporary flavour profiles.
The Mirari Shimmer Damask Rose Gin is part of the distillery’s expressive flavoured gin range. Each batch is distilled using traditional botanicals alongside floral ingredients, most notably Damask roses, with more than 1,000 roses used in every 500-litre batch.
The gin’s distinctive pink colour comes naturally from hibiscus infusion, while the bottle contains a fine edible shimmer that becomes visible when the bottle is gently shaken. The result is a visually striking gin that remains rooted in classic gin structure with juniper at its core.
Appearance:
Soft blush-pink in the glass. When shaken, the edible shimmer creates a swirling, pearlescent effect.
Nose:
Fragrant floral aromas of Damask rose and rosewater lead the bouquet, followed by fresh grapefruit citrus and a gentle lift of juniper.
Palate:
Smooth and aromatic with a balance of floral sweetness and classic gin botanicals. Notes of rose petals and candied grapefruit are supported by cardamom spice and the piney freshness of juniper.
Finish:
Clean and lingering with delicate floral notes and a subtle citrus lift.
