Meerlust Estate is one of South Africa’s most respected historic wine properties, established in 1756 and situated near False Bay in Stellenbosch. The estate benefits from maritime breezes that moderate summer temperatures, helping Pinot Noir retain fragrance, freshness and precision. Meerlust is known for matching each variety to its most suitable vineyard sites, drawing on a patchwork of granite, clay and alluvial soils across the farm. Under the guidance of cellar master Wim Truter, the wines combine classical structure with Cape brightness and purity. This Pinot Noir reflects that philosophy with elegance rather than excess weight.

Vibrant garnet red with youthful clarity and a translucent rim.
Nose:
Lifted floral perfume leads into red cherry, wild strawberry and raspberry, followed by earthy wild mushroom, musk and a touch of sweet spice.
Palate:
Medium-bodied and finely textured, with pure Pinot Noir fruit flavours of red cherry and soft berry fruit. Fresh acidity brings energy, while fine tannins provide gentle structure and poise.
Finish:
Long and graceful, finishing on red fruit, subtle savoury notes and delicate powdery tannins.
