Situated between the Simonsberg Mountains and Klapmuts Hill in Stellenbosch, Le Bonheur Wine Estate has roots dating back to the late 1700s. Originally established as a resting place for travellers crossing the Cape winelands, the estate has evolved into a producer known for expressive, approachable wines that remain grounded in Stellenbosch character.
The vineyards benefit from a combination of warm daylight conditions and cooling mountain influences that help preserve freshness and natural acidity in the fruit. The Le Bonheur Chardonnay 2025 balances ripe New World fruit with more restrained winemaking influences, including partial barrel fermentation and lees ageing, adding texture and subtle complexity without overpowering the wine’s natural brightness.

Nose:
Aromas of white peach, citrus blossom and ripe pineapple lead the nose, followed by softer notes of brioche, toasted nuts and gentle spice.
Palate:
Medium-bodied with a smooth, lightly creamy texture balanced by fresh acidity. Layers of stone fruit, lemon zest and subtle oak spice create depth without heaviness, while lees contact adds a rounded mouthfeel.
Finish:
Clean and persistent with lingering notes of citrus, soft vanilla and a savoury brioche nuance.
