The Foothills range focuses on expressing these site-specific conditions - particularly the balance between ripeness and restraint that coastal Stellenbosch can offer.
The approach in the cellar is relatively hands-off, aiming to let the Syrah speak clearly of its origin. Fermentation techniques favour gentle extraction, while oak maturation is used to support structure rather than dominate. The result is a Syrah that leans toward a more modern, medium-bodied style - showcasing spice, purity of fruit, and a subtle savoury character rather than heaviness.
