Produced at Jorgensen's Distillery in Wellington, the Jorgensens Wild Rose Pepper Gin forms part of the distillery’s Wild Rose craft range - a collection inspired by indigenous botanicals and South Africa’s modern craft spirit movement. Founded in 1994 by pioneering distiller Roger Jorgensen, the distillery became South Africa’s first private distillery following the end of prohibition-era restrictions, helping shape the country’s contemporary artisan spirits industry.
Crafted in small batches using fine grain spirit and distilled through a restored 1860s copper pot still, the Wild Rose Pepper Gin combines classic juniper structure with whole black and red pepper kernels for a more savoury, spice-driven profile. The style remains balanced and expressive rather than aggressively hot, offering a distinctly South African interpretation of contemporary craft gin.
