Jorgensens Wild Rose Blue Pea Gin 50ml
Gin
Description
Produced by Jorgensen's Distillery in Wellington, the Jorgensens Wild Rose Blue Pea Gin reflects the distillery’s long-standing commitment to small-batch craft distilling and botanical experimentation. Founded by Roger Jorgensen - widely regarded as one of the pioneers of South Africa’s modern craft spirits movement - the distillery combines traditional copper pot distillation with locally inspired botanicals and contemporary flavour profiles.
The Wild Rose Blue Pea Gin is infused with blue pea flower, a botanical known for its vivid natural indigo hue and its dramatic colour transformation when mixed with tonic or citrus. While visually striking, the gin remains grounded in classic structure, balancing juniper and citrus freshness with floral botanicals and gentle spice. Distilled in small batches, the style focuses on purity, texture and drinkability rather than novelty alone.
The 50ml format offers an easy introduction to the Wild Rose range and works particularly well for gifting, tasting packs or premium miniatures.
Colour:
Deep sapphire blue in the bottle, transforming to soft lavender-pink when mixed with tonic or citrus.
Nose:
Lifted aromas of juniper, orange peel and floral botanicals lead the nose, followed by delicate lavender, rose petals and subtle spice notes.
Palate:
Smooth and refreshing with a classic dry gin backbone. Bright citrus and juniper flavours are layered with soft floral notes and a gentle herbal character that adds freshness without becoming overly perfumed. The texture remains clean and elegant with restrained spice on the mid-palate.
Finish:
Clean and lightly floral, with lingering citrus zest, soft spice and a refreshing dry finish.
