Nitida Wine Farm is situated in the rolling hills of Durbanville, one of the Cape’s coolest wine-growing regions thanks to strong Atlantic influence and frequent ocean breezes. The estate has built a reputation for producing elegant, site-driven wines that prioritise balance, freshness and varietal clarity.
Durbanville’s cooler growing conditions are particularly well suited to Riesling, allowing grapes to ripen slowly while retaining the naturally high acidity that gives the variety its energy and longevity. The vineyards grow in decomposed granite soils that provide excellent drainage and contribute to the wine’s fine mineral character.
The 2025 vintage was crafted in a bright, off-dry style that highlights Riesling’s aromatic purity without becoming overly sweet. Gentle handling in the cellar and cool fermentation in stainless steel preserve the wine’s delicate fruit profile and crisp acidity, resulting in a Riesling that feels both vibrant and refined.

Pale straw with green-gold highlights.
Nose:
Lifted aromas of lime blossom, green apple and white peach are layered with notes of jasmine, citrus zest and subtle mineral nuance.
Palate:
Light- to medium-bodied, with a lively balance between natural sweetness and bright acidity. Flavours of lime, nectarine and green pear are supported by a crisp mineral backbone that keeps the wine focused and refreshing rather than rich.
Finish:
Long, clean and mouthwatering, with lingering citrus and floral notes.

It works beautifully with Thai curry, Cape Malay chicken dishes, sushi or pork belly, where the wine’s natural acidity and slight sweetness help soften heat and refresh the palate.
