Four Paws is a Western Cape producer centred on crafting uncomplicated, fruit-forward wines that reflect the region’s naturally generous growing conditions. Grapes are sourced from vineyards across the Western Cape, where warm, sunny days encourage ripeness while cooling ocean influences help retain freshness and balance.
The winemaking approach is deliberately unfussy. Fermentation is typically done in stainless steel to preserve aromatics, with little to no oak influence. The aim is to let the fruit speak clearly, resulting in wines that are accessible, reliable, and suited to everyday enjoyment rather than cellaring.
Colour:
Light straw with a subtle green edge, clear and bright.
Nose:
Fresh pear, apple and white peach lead, followed by hints of melon and a light floral lift.
Palate:
Smooth and medium light in body, with ripe orchard fruit flavours supported by a touch of residual sweetness. The acidity is soft but present, giving just enough lift to keep the wine from feeling overly rich.
Finish:
Short to medium in length, finishing with lingering notes of peach and a faint honeyed character.
