Cez forms part of the Ernst Gouws & Co portfolio, a Stellenbosch-based family winery with roots tracing back generations in the Cape. While the cellar is based in Stellenbosch, the Cez White Blend 2025 draws on fruit from the broader Coastal Region - an area shaped by ocean influence, varied soils, and diverse vineyard sites that allow for both ripeness and natural freshness.
The Cez range reflects a contemporary, accessible style, with a clear focus on fruit purity and drinkability. Fermented in stainless steel and left unwooded, the wine is crafted to highlight the natural character of Chenin Blanc and Sémillon - combining the former’s vibrant fruit with the latter’s subtle texture and waxy depth.
Colour:
Pale green-gold with a bright, youthful sheen.
Nose:
Cling peach and pineapple lead, followed by ripe apple and a lift of lemon zest. A faint beeswax note adds a gentle layer of complexity.
Palate:
Juicy and fruit-driven, with flavours of fresh peach, apple and tropical fruit. The texture is rounded and mouth-filling, balanced by moderate acidity that keeps the wine lively without sharpness. A subtle waxy undertone from the Sémillon adds depth and interest.
Finish:
Clean and refreshing, with lingering orchard fruit and a softly dry, slightly textured close.
