Beau Constantia Pas De Nom Creative Batch 2024
Beau Constantia sits high on the slopes of Constantia Nek above the Constantia Valley, where steep vineyards overlook False Bay and the city below. This dramatic site benefits from cooling ocean influence, regular afternoon breezes and long ripening seasons, helping grapes retain freshness while developing flavour slowly and evenly.
The estate has built a reputation for contemporary, site-driven wines that combine precision with character. Beau Constantia balances polished cellar work with respect for terroir, producing wines that feel distinctly Cape while borrowing the structure and restraint often associated with Old World regions. The Pas De Nom Creative Batch range allows the winemaking team freedom to experiment with small parcels, unusual blends and expressive seasonal releases.
Colour:
Bright pale straw with youthful flashes of green, clear and vibrant in the glass.
Nose:
Lively aromas of citrus peel, white peach and pear lead the way, followed by hints of tropical fruit, fresh herbs and subtle floral lift. A faint mineral edge adds complexity.
Palate:
Fresh and energetic, with crisp acidity carrying flavours of lemon, stone fruit and ripe apple. The texture is supple rather than sharp, giving the wine generosity through the mid-palate while maintaining focus and drive. Clean fruit expression and measured weight keep it poised.
Finish:
Refreshing and medium-long, closing on citrus zest, soft orchard fruit and a saline touch.
- Food Pairing : Beau Constantia Pas De Nom Creative Batch 2024 works beautifully with grilled line fish, lemon herb chicken, creamy pasta with peas and pancetta, sushi, or a goat’s cheese salad. Its bright acidity refreshes richer dishes, while the rounded fruit profile complements lighter proteins and creamy textures without overwhelming them. The saline, citrus-driven finish also makes it a natural match for seafood and summer lunches.
