Founded in 1790, Balblair distillery is a Highland single malt Scotch whisky located in Edderton, Ross-shire, Scotland. The Balblair 12 Year Old Single Malt Scotch is matured in American oak ex-bourbon and "double-fired" (we believe this to mean heavily charred) American oak cask. The nose displays elegant bright lemon peel layered with creamy vanilla and crisp green apples. On the palate, ground spices and dried orange slices envelop in intense set honey sweetness. The finish is creamy and leathery with notes of sweet vanilla.
