Situated near Stellenbosch, Spier is one of South Africa’s oldest wine farms with a recorded winemaking history dating back to 1692. Continuing a long-held tradition, Spier is a family-owned farm. The current owners acquired the farm in 1993 and continue to produce wines that are among the most awarded in the country. The Spier Seaward Chardonnay 2023 is an elegant, lightly oaked wine that showcases vibrant citrus flavours balanced with creamy vanilla undertones. The nose features aromas of tangerine, lemon rind, peach, and citrus blossom, with hints of raw almonds. On the palate, expect a rich yet fresh profile of nectarine and well-integrated vanilla, making it a smooth and versatile choice.
