Land’s End is an authentic Cape South Coast wine, owning and leading regional Sauvignon Blanc and Shiraz in the world. With the Lands End Cape Agulhas Syrah / Shiraz 2020, black pepper, cardamom, and allspice brings to mind creaky wooden ships of antiquity, barrels spilling over with spice. The oak imparting clove and smoke. Inky black cherry, plum; luscious black fruit, scented and rich, follows on to the palate. Here, red plum joins the chorus. The fruit is abundant, bouncy, lively along a line of bright, Elim acid. Soft, juicy tannins frame all this generosity, layering and receding, implicitly elegant, a finish like salted plum. A red wine to suit most meat dishes.
