Highlands Road Wines produces a premium quality range of different Sauvignon Blancs, Semillon, a White Bordeaux-style blend, Chardonnay, Pinot Noir and Syrah - all embracing the elegant, cool climate, fresh, fruit and minerality driven character so typical of Elgin, the coolest wine region in South Africa. With the Highlands Road Semillon 2019, the fruit is prominent initially, with the fleshy fig following through and traces of sea vegetation overlaying the toasted almond from the subtle French oak. This white wine has a satisfying and weighty middle palate, finishing generously.
