Glenfarclas distillery is a Speyside whisky distillery in Ballindalloch, Scotland. The distillery is owned and run by the Grant family. Glenfarclas 25-year-old Scotch single malt is a classic Speyside, matured for over 25 long years in ex-sherry casks. The nose displays a touch of menthol and classic Sherry notes, less pronounced than the 15-year-old perhaps, but the complexity is greater. Incredibly clean central palate, but amazingly tangy. Really zingy top notes. Sherry and creamy barley, hints of gingerbread and nutty chocolate. The oak-rich finish is very, very long with hints of smoke, cocoa and butter.
