What is the anatomy of a grape?

Generally, wine grapes are smaller than table grapes and they also come in tight bunches. They have relatively thick skins. There are three factors that contribute to the different variations in taste between the different grape varieties.

Skin colour and thickness· The skin gives the wine its colour, especially if it’s a red or a ros$ wine, and contributes some of the aromatic qualities in the wine too.

Size of the grape· Small grapes have a more concentrated flavour as opposed to bigger grapes.

Acid/Sugar· These two determine the wine’s level of alcohol and its sweetness.
