Spier Prestige Cuvee 2016
2016

PRODUCT DESCRIPTION:
Situated near Stellenbosch, Spier is one of South Africa’s oldest wine farms with a recorded winemaking history dating back to 1692. Continuing a long-held tradition, Spier is a family-owned farm. The current owners acquired the farm in 1993 and continue to produce wines that are among the most awarded in the country. Made from the finest Chardonnay and Pinot Noir grapes grown in the Stellenbosch winelands. This vintage Brut is full of finesse and holds a crisp acidity. Vibrant aromas of Golden apple, ripe citrus and hints of freshly baked brioche. The delicate mousse with it’s fine tingling bubbles enchants the palate. The 2016 vintage marks just the third time Spier has produced its Prestige Cuvée Cap Classique sparkling wine. First launched in 2013 and again in 2015, this rare Cap Classique is only made in outstanding vintages.
